Bispham High School & Arts College – Blackpool – BMX Prize!
This week Blackpool Cycle Rentals kindly sponsored a ‘Big Daddy, Chrome, Spoked Wheel BMX’ to Bispham High School & Arts College, Blackpool, as the First Prize - draw on their open evening.
The lucky winner, out of 330 families was Year 6 student Alex Maillot of St. Bernadette’s RC Primary School … well done Alex !! The draw took place at 8pm on Tuesday 5th October and the BMX was kindly presented by local Ward Councillor Julian Mineur.
Radiowave broadcast the advert over 4 days announcing the open evening and BMX prize draw. They also announced to listeners and parents of year six pupils across Blackpool, about how fantastic the schools GCSE results were for 2010. 85% achieved 5 or more grades at A*-C and 42% achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Mathematics – Well done Bispham !!

I would like to say that I am glad that there is something different for a whole family to do together in Blackpool. There is so much to do in Blackpool but can get very expensive and doesn’t tire the kids out enough (apart from all the walking) We found Blackpool Cycle Rentals from a poster in a hotel we were staying at in South Shore and was amazed with the personal service our family was given. I have 3 kids, 14, 6 and 4 and hired 3 adult bikes, a tag a long and a trailer and loved every minute of it. The kids loved chosing their helmets and were excited to get a certificate at the end of the day, even my 14 year old. I will definately use this service again, especially as there are so many safe and easy routes to take in Blackpool, including the town.

Saddle Sore!
Dear BCR,
I would like to thank you for letting us use your bikes to ride the promenade in Blackpool. I cant stop laughing as my wife is still moaning at me because she was a bit sore after a few hours cycling, she said it was worse than being sunburnt. I told her we will do the Blackpool to Cleveleys cycle route next time as practice makes perfect
